18 Months Old

Cydney is now 18 months old and growing up so fast. She is 19 1/2 lbs, 28 inches and still under the 3rd percentile for both weight and height. She is walking really well now and close to being able to run. I am hoping to hold off on the running until daddy gets back, so I can have someone to help keep up with her. Her favorite activities include reading books, looking over animal flash cards, working her puzzles and dancing to music. She can still be found carrying monkey ("digee" as she refers to him) around with her all the time. You will not see her many places without it in her hands. We have been working on learning colors for a few weeks now; she still has trouble with most of them except for orange, Go figure! Wonder how that happened?

We are doing well with Jared being gone, occasionally Cydney will walk around the house looking and calling for "dada" and lights up when he is able to call on Skype. Time is passing quickly and we can see the light at the end of the tunnel for his return. Although we don't exactly know when that will be yet, we are looking forward to the day he is back in Misawa. I can't wait for him to be home and to be able to hear her tell more stories. She gets a little shy for the camera and won't talk much when he calls. She mainly just plays and gives him kisses. Cydney has about 70+ words she says regularly. She will repeat pretty much anything you say these days.

Misawa is treating us w
ell this winter, the snow fall we have come to expect has made its way to the Midwest (sorry to those living in the states having to deal with all the snow). I am happy I have not had to deal with it this year. Now I say this and we will get dumped on soon. I just hope it waits until I leave for my trip home in a couple weeks. We have alot planned in the few weeks we will be back in the States. Using the time to be with family and friends once again and to make the time Jared is gone pass quicker.

We are also hoping to be finding out our next assignment in the next few weeks. We are really wanting to come back to the States and be a little closer to
home. It is slightly stressful not knowing where you will be living in 6 months, with a hint of excitement of the unknown. I am ready to find out so we can start planning the move, looking for a house, cars, daycare, me a JOB as well as meeting new people and making new friends.

Here are a couple pictures of Cydney over the last few weeks:

Until next time,
